Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CareerPassion.ai (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

The Platform is open to students aged 16 and above, and to registered businesses. By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements. Students under 18 may use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who must be the payer for any fees and who accepts these Terms on the student’s behalf.

3. The service

CareerPassion provides an AI-powered matching service that connects students with startup project opportunities. We facilitate introductions — the working relationship, deliverables, and any compensation are agreed directly between students and startups.

4. Fees and payment

Some features of the Platform require payment. We charge an annual Subscription, which unlocks anonymized browsing and learning materials, and a one-time Match Fee, paid when you accept a match, which reveals the other party’s identity and opens messaging. The amounts are shown at checkout and are charged in US dollars.

The Subscription renews automatically each year until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

For students under 18, all fees are paid by a parent or legal guardian, who is the contracting party for those payments. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. User accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information
• You must not create accounts using false or misleading information
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce Platform content without permission

7. Intellectual property

All content, design, and technology on the Platform is owned by CareerPassion Limited. Content you submit (profiles, project descriptions) remains yours, but you grant us a licence to use it for the purpose of operating the matching service.

8. Limitation of liability

CareerPassion facilitates connections but does not guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any project or match. We are not liable for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from interactions between students and startups. The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
