1. Who we are

CareerPassion.ai (“CareerPassion”, “we”, “us”) is operated by CareerPassion Limited. We connect students with startup project opportunities across Asia.

2. Information we collect

When you register on our platform, we collect:

• Name and email address
• Date of birth (to confirm eligibility and age)
• University or school name
• Year of study and major
• Skills, interests, and career goals
• Availability preferences
• LinkedIn URL (optional)
• For students under 18: a parent or guardian’s name and email
• Company name, industry, and project details (for startups)

Payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details.

3. How we use your information

• To match students with relevant startup projects using our AI matching engine
• To communicate with you about your account and matched opportunities
• To improve our matching algorithms and platform experience
• To send you updates about CareerPassion (you can opt out at any time)

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your profile information only with startups or students you are matched with, and only the information necessary to facilitate the connection. We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Platform — including Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and Brevo (email delivery) — who process your data on our behalf.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing jackwong@nus.edu.sg.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only to keep the site functioning. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at jackwong@nus.edu.sg.

8. Children’s data

We welcome students aged 16 and above. For students under 18, we collect a parent or guardian’s name and email, and any fees are paid by that parent or guardian. Parents and guardians may exercise the student’s rights to access, correct, or delete their data by contacting us. We take particular care with the personal data of users under 18 and limit it to what is needed to provide the service.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of any material changes by email.
