Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. What you pay for
CareerPassion charges two fees. An annual Subscription unlocks anonymized browsing and our learning materials. A one-time Match Fee, paid when you accept a match, reveals the other party’s identity and opens messaging. The exact amounts are shown to you at checkout before you pay.
2. Cancelling your subscription
Your subscription renews automatically each year until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, which opens our payment provider’s secure portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide partial or pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a subscription period.
3. Match Fee refunds
The Match Fee is refunded in full, automatically, if the match never opens. This means either the other party does not pay their Match Fee within 14 days of your payment, or the match is withdrawn, rejected, or otherwise ended before the introduction is made. Once the introduction is made and messaging opens, the Match Fee is non-refundable, because the access you paid for — the other party’s identity and contact details — has been delivered.
4. How refunds are issued
Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe, normally within 5 to 10 business days. Where a parent or guardian paid on behalf of a student under 18, the refund is returned to the parent or guardian’s payment method.
5. Billing problems and disputes
If you think you were charged in error, please contact us at support@careerpassion.ai before asking your bank for a chargeback. Raising a chargeback may suspend your access while we investigate the dispute.
